Digital Manufacture

The CTTC is a pioneer in direct ceramic manufacture using digital techniques. In partnership with the Ceramic Processes and Surface Treatment Sciences laboratory (SPCTS in French), we are developing technologies that aim to push the boundaries in the construction of complex technical ceramic components.

Rapid ceramic prototype development

A result of research led at the SPCTS, the development of ceramics rapid prototyping, uses the principle of laser stereolithography (SLA), allowing us to manufacture dense technical components, with properties comparable to those manufactured by the classic shaping processes, and does this without the aid of a mould to dictate the shape of the component.

Branching off from these activities, the CTTC has entrusted 3DCERAM (http://www.3DCeram.com) with the exclusive manufacture of ceramic components by rapid prototyping development.
